Day two... still feeling like death. Poor Sam, I kept her up because I can't sleep. I really just want to go home and go back to bed. I think that's where she still is. Insted I'm in the new VRC installing programs on pretty G5s and trying to play some of the many unfulfilling online games that I've found. Meh. I want a good in browser mmorpg that actually has graphics -- no, that does not mean customizable banners...annoyance. More than anything I just want to be done with this job for the summer, or to at least take a little vacation time... I need to chill out for a while. Anyone know a sure way to fall asleep? Silly huh?
In other news, parts of our apartment got creepy. The hallway into the back room feels unsettling to say the least. I don't like it, and I doubt it's helping my sleep or sanity much.
And unrelated, Sam and I saw a Hawk for the second day in a row yesterday. Not like seeing a hawk circling up in the sky, but down near us, close enough to see a lot of detail. The other day when I was driving Anna home we saw a big redtail just sitting on a sign, hanging out. It stared at the car as we went past, and we stared at him. Then yesterday Sam and I were on our way to the mall when we saw a Hawk on the rotary. It was grappling with a dead bird on the road and watching all the cars so that it could take off in a hurry. It was very very cool. I need to do a little research on Hawks as they seem to appear in my life so often and so close. It's something not to be ignored.

Pour salt in the corners and let it sit over night. Sweep it up the next day and throw it away outside of the building. Then burn sage and make sure you get the smoke in all of the nooks and crannies.
I haven't tried it myself, but a pagan friend swears by it.
